A business in the village’s industrial park has agreed to donate cabinets and countertops for Richfield’s new central fire station. Ground is expected to be broken on the project this spring.

Quest Engineering President Chris Lefeber said the company decided to help the village with the project by making the donation.

“We received a request for us to bid on supplying the cabinets and countertops, so we just decided we would donate them,” Lefeber said. “We feel the fire service is an important part of the community and we wanted to support it in some way. We manufacture just what they need, so why not donate what they need?”
